 2010 Blu-Ray Steelbook Release List

Once again in 2010 the steelbook market grew, we saw over double the amount of releases compared to the previous year, this year also saw the UK's first jumbo steelbook in the forum of Dr. Who series 5, quite strange as it's still the only series to ever be released on steelbook.

This year also saw the release of 2 very unexpected rare steelbooks, Metropolis and Shogun assassin were due for dispatch from the Sony warehouse as it was struck by the Riots in London, lots of stock was destroyed in fires including a large amount of these 2 steelbooks, in fact only a small amount of these ever made it to buyers so both steelbooks now have a high resale value, despite none of them being the most popular mainstream movies.
