 2014 Blu-Ray Steelbook Release List

2014 Began with a great start from HMV with Riddick, one of the nicest steelbooks from HMV recently with an amazing finish then a few months later they raised the bar again with the doubly debossed Ender's Game.

Zavvi are all systems go with the Disney and Pixar collections, although in Q1 the Zavvi exclusives were disappointing with many of the Disney ~& Pixar steelbooks feeling cheap with matte finishes and plain J-cards it felt like there was just very little effort, then in April Zavvi seem to make a huge turnaround with stunning releases like Brave 3D, Frozen, Cinderella and Bambi, all of which are top quality and the best steelbooks produced as Zavvi exclusives for a long time.

2014 also seems to be the year of smaller print runs, last year zavvi did mostly 4k runs which struggled to sell and they had to drastically reduce titles like Withnail, Point break and City of god so now we're seeing a lot more 2k exclusive print runs from Zavvi, all of which sell out pre-release.
